Very smooth drive and quiet engine. Great on petrol and cheap insurance/tax.

The car had no service history from after the first service, so we took the car into the workshop and did a full inspection and overhaul as described below.

Like many vehicles, there are known issues these engines can face if not properly serviced. So as we had little service history we removed the engine for a full inspection. The cylinder head has been removed and fully refurbished, so is in effect new. This was reinstalled with new gasket and head bolts. The crank shaft was removed, inspected and refitted. The con rods and pistons were removed and inspected, and new piston rings were fitted. The engine was then re-assembled, and whilst this was being done it also made good sense for the new owner if we fitted a new water pump, oil pump, vacuum valve and turbo charger, and all the related belts. Naturally we’ve also completed this work by fitting new spark plugs, filters and fluids. As the car had covered over 56,000 miles we decided to fit a new clutch as that would probably have needed to be replaced in the near future.

As well as the a new engine and clutch. we fitted new front pads and discs. So the car is now ready for sale and the new owner has the peace of mind that everything mechanically on the car is in great condition and should give a few years of worry free reliable motoring….assuming you remember to bring it back for servicing and MOT’s. 

Externally there are a few scratches and car park knocks as you’d expect on a vehicle of this age. There is a mark on the front bumper that we can either have painted for you or negotiate on the price.
